Wiz khalifa Rolling Papers 2

Back in 2011 a young Wiz Khalifa had a growing fan base, woman, and his first major label debut album called "Rolling Papers". Rolling Papers debuted at 2 on the Billboards and sold over 197,000 records in its first week. Which in 2011 was right on the cusp of the digital streaming boom. Rolling Papers was a 14-track album that was supported by five singles: "Black and Yellow", "Roll Up", "On My Level", "No Sleep" and "The Race" which helped the album go double platinum. Now 7 years later Wiz Khalifa is back with a follow sequel to the Rolling Papers series with his recent release of "Rolling Papers 2".

"With Rolling Papers 2, it's like I'm at a whole new point in my career where people may or may not know what to expect. I feel like this is such an opportunity to just come out to the world. It feels so important, it feels as important as the first time. So that's why I said Rolling Papers 2"In an episode of Genius

Wiz Khalifa starts out Rolling Papers 2 with Hot Now which is more of a reintroduction to the old Wiz Khalifa flow that gained him recognition on mixtapes like "Kush & Orange Juice" and "Cabin Fever". But by the 2nd verse he switches to the new Wiz Khalifa style that incorporates more auto-tune as he delivers his signature sing-rap flow. This formula can be seen throughout the album. The title track Rolling Papers 2 is another example of how Wiz Khalifa uses his unique old Wiz flow combined with his new sing-rap flow to let you know. "Give your all 'cause a man gon' be a man, And do what he gotta do, Baby, this is rolling papers two".https://open.spotify.com/track/4Q3HHwkLVwHrSVad0RUz3VAt over 25-tracks Rolling Papers feels more like a marathon than an album that the listener is exhaustively trying to get thru rather than truely enjoy. This is especially true in the new digital age and coming a month after the 7-track G.O.O.D. Music formula that can be found on Pusha T's, Kanye's, Nas's, and Teyana Taylor's albums. For Wiz Khalifa this meant that the half-way point of the album track 12 needed to be a standout track. Clearly Wiz realized this and called upon Swae Lee who provided a melodic verse on the single Hopeless Romantic. The track was produced by CBMIX & Young Chop and is unique in the sense that Wiz Khalifa delivers a true rapper verse complete with bars and cadences that remind listeners that he still is Khalifa Man.https://open.spotify.com/track/7IBSffWIu7P2MC7kMwy2FMWith features from Jimmy Wopoo, Hardo, THEMXXNLIGHT, Curren$y, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, Swae Lee, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Chevy Woods, Darrius Willrich, Lil Skies, Problem, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Ty Dollar $ign this feature heavy album. But at 25-tracks there is clearly a method to his madness, Wiz has so many features as to not fatigue the listener with just one voice. He can only switch up his flow so much, this is where the other features come in to play. The standout feature of  fellow artist Chevy Woods on the track Karate in particular is Wiz Khalifa Chevy Woods running rap laps while passing the mic as if it was a baton.https://open.spotify.com/track/0Q2NCvFuP8T788y2bzv9QsIt wouldn't be a Rolling Papers 2 album with out a 420 freestyle. This is a standout track because Wiz Khalifa just FUCKIN RAPS!

I get high every day, you can say I'm a doctorGot my niggas out the streets, you can say I'm a prophetI got money in the bank, it can't fit in no walletI got niggas in the pen, but that ain't on the topic

Wiz Khalifa resurrected the "it's 1999" Bone Thugs-N-Harmony to lay down some of that classic sound that made them hip-hop legends. Listen to Bizzy Bones verse to see what I mean.https://open.spotify.com/track/5JSNy5kkAxkOqa8RmKOJ1BAnd there you have it Rolling Papers 2. There is a clear distinction between "old" Wiz and new Wiz Khakifa, and on Rolling Papers 2 Wiz was able to cater to both. At 25 songs the thought of this being a short album or EP is immediately thrown out the window. But with the strategic placement of the numerous list of features this is an album is full of sound. Even with a heavy featured album Wiz Khalifa  still is able to shine even when this means he will be on the track with 3 other featured on the track. It's truly his unique sound that makes this sequel a true Wiz Khalifa album.Listen to Wiz Khalifa's album Rolling Papers 2 below and let us know what you think of the album.https://open.spotify.com/album/0YFou4SbS16F4GhSADLDfz
