You know you’ve made it when you’re trademarking words, better yet, sounds. Cardi B’s infamous “Okurrr” has been heard on countless songs, interviews, and videos, leading the Bronx born artist to file for the word’s trademark with the United States Patents and Trademark Office. Cardi’s company Washpoppin has decided to trademark the brand for commercial purposes such as selling merchandise and other branded items.Cardi’s brand will only continue to rise as she has already won a Grammy, signed million dollar endorsement contracts, and even begun filming “Hustlers” alongside Jennifer Lopez. The “okurrr” trademark was inspired by “a cold pigeon in New York City” and will now allow Cardi to add more capital to her brand as she can deploy the slang anyway she wishes to.If the U.S. Patents and Trademark Office approves Cardi’s application you should be on the lookout for new Cardi gear in the near future. “Okurrr?!?!”In case you missed the Pepsi commercial, which I highly doubt it check it out below:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYb9As684l4Cardi B & Bruno Mars - Please Me (Official Video)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3y-O-4IL-PU
