Meet Megan Thee Stallion

Signed to 1501 Certified Ent., Megan Thee Stallion has been making a lot of noise lately with her recent EP Tina Snow. The project includes ten tracks, all of which brings out the sassiness and boldness in her bars. Megan is not one to hold back when it comes to saying what is on her mind. She gives her listeners the confidence we wish we all had when it comes to being secure in ourselves and securing that bag. Her verses ride the percussion so smoothly and her bars cut. Being that she is straightforward and unapologetic in her music, she has gained a lot of popularity from her hometown, Houston, and it's spreading across the nation.CYPHERS popularity peaked when she was featured in a few cyphers that she completely bodied in 2017 and then decided to release her own Stalli Freestyle as the attention she was getting grew. Her inspiration comes from her mom who used to always rap, and while Megan performed as a dancer, she would write raps in the studio while her mom would record. She is also a big fan of Pimp C, Lil Kim, Notorious B.I.G, and Three 6 Mafia, and a draws a lot of inspiration from them as well. Her flow is unique in that she blends her southern sultry flavor with her fast and lyrical word play.SINGLES an interview with The Fader, she claims that she derives a lot of her female empowerment from male rap simply by reversing the roles and reminding women everywhere that you can boss up on your own and not wait on anyone for anything. She says, “I really feel like if men can talk this much shit, women can too...Women make the world go round..."You don’t have a lot of women doing things for women, so when I’m rapping I gotta talk all this mess so the women can feel as confident and empowered as the men.” Check out her first two cyphers here, her freestyle, and one of two of her singles from the Tina Snow EP.FREESTYLE
