Beat Drop: Aaron Cohen
Queens rapper, Aaron Cohen, has just dropped his first full-length album, “See Red.” The project features talent like Bodega Bamz, Jarren Benton and Godbodywati and is made up of 12 hard-hitting tracks. Trance-like synths and Cohen’s clean flow make “See Red” the rapper’s most impressive work to date.
Cohen told us:
“Red is my first LP and represents a turning point for me and my music. Something snapped in me last year and the change in my psyche led to a change in my music. I channeled all of the rage I felt towards the industry into a cohesive piece of art. I hope you get a chance to listen, as this is certainly my best work yet.”
Like his EPs UGLYBOYZ and You Wouldn’t Know, “See Red’s” production was handled by Kemal, DJ Hoppa, Brakebill and Calev. With a few collaborations now under their belt, this is definitely Cohen and his crew at their best.
In light of his recent success, Cohen manages to stay humble. In an interview with NoGossipLA the rapper said, “The accolades along the way just kind of serve to show you you’re not insane in pursuing your dreams.” “See Red” is out now and you can find it on pretty much on any platform.
